Event Description

Embassy Review : Appointment time was for 7:30am we drove from Santiago so we left at 430am, so here goes we got there around 650am found crazy lines outside so before deciding to get on any line we asked, while online they ask for the interview letter which is when u get the all so famous number ours was lucky number 24 which happenes to be my husbands bday which made him happy for some reason lol anyways to our surprise we were inside by 7am only 10 mins of waiting once inside the all so famous metal benches which to my surprise were comfortable. we sat down and 720am we were called to window 23 to give in paperwork, police certificate, cedula nd passports, then we were sent to window 13 for finger prints, then by 750am the fun begins the waiting for the interview, around 815am my husband goes omg am getting nervous and at that same instant our number is flashing to go to window 21. we get to window 21 a nice american lady is there she smiles and we get sworn in the questioning begin.
when and where did we meet?
how did we meet?
do we have children together?
how many children i have and their ages?
since my mother introduced us the next question was how did he meet my mother?
she then ask to see if we had pictures of us together
my husband flips through our photobooks and she asked what was the occasion of some of the photos
then to my surprise he asks my husband to step out and more questions are asked
to me
what year did we meet?
did we have sex before or after marriage?
where did we have sex?
did we use protection?
when did we get married?
why didnt my family attend the wedding?
then called my husband in i stepped out she asked my husband the same questions
then i was called back inside he was asked to step out once again
to me
where do i work?
how long have a worked there?
what is my work schedule?
how much do i make?
how many kids do i have?
what are the names and ages of my children?
what do i do for work and provide details?
does he have children?
how many and their names?
what does he do for work?
who does he work for?
what is his schedule?
how much does he make?
He was called back inside and i was asked once again to step out
My husband was asked the same questions in different order of course.
then I was asked to step back in and once again my husband was asked to step back out at this point i was nervous as shit i have never heard on anybody being asked to step out so many times but i realized that the questions were being asked to me first so i had to make sure i was anwer them like my husband would answer them so he goes again which i hoped were the last set of questions
what did you do yesturday? (i was totally honest and i told her at this point i couldnt remember which was the truth i couldnt remember what i had done the day before she just laughed and said its ok its normal) i felt relived but she goes ok and here come the questions
did we have dinner together yesturday?
who cooked?
where did we have dinner?
what did we have for dinner?
did we have sex last night?
lights on or off?
was there a tv in the room?
was the tv on or off?
what was i wearing ?
what color was it ?
what was he wearing ?
what color was it?
where did we stay?
when did i fly in ?
who went to pick me up at the airport?
when was the last time i went to dr?
how many days was i there?
what did we do?
who was with us?
what did i give him as an anniversary gift?
what did he give me as an anniversary gift?
she asked to see my passport, i gave her my expired passport
how many times have i flown to dr since meeting him?
how many times did i fly to dr after marriage?
where do i live please provide address?
is it an apartment or house?
how did i give birth to my children normal or c-section?
who does my husband live with?
does his son with him?
then i was asked to step out once again she calls in my husband and asks him the same questions
at this point am praying to God to give me strength because i justed wanted to cry and i believe everyone in the room was feeling the same way because so far we were the first couple to be interviewed and we were separated 3 times.
so after all my praying the lady doesnt call me instead she asks my husband to come and get me so now my tears were at the point of almost coming out, when we get to the window she looks at us and more questions come
to my husband
do you have family in the united states?
is that little boy your son?
is he your son by blood ?
then looks at my step-son, then she says hold on one second she turns to talk to another lady and my heart wants to jump out of my chest my husband hand is sweating and we both are standing there holding our breath but we cant even bear to look at each other, she then turns to us looks at us stays shut and FINALLY SMILES AND SAYS FELICIDADES SU VISA APROVADA we were so in shock that we dont ove and she laughs and says did u hear me lol and says it one more time.. my husband and i are still in shock we go pay domex and we still dont say one word to each other until we get outside thats when it hit us that they were approved lmao
And to let you know the green ticket was right in front of us the whole time which should have kept me sane but they still give u hell green ticket and all.
all in all it wasnt bad you just have to be prepared for any and everything with details and all. my advice is for the person who is getting asked the questions first to answer like they know their partner would answer and my step son wasnt never asked anything.
We got in at 7am by 840am we were paying domex very good time.

Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
