I really need some help. I need to know what is the best way to assemble my CR1 ORIGINAL packet. When reading the Tips it states the following:

Exception: Petitions filed at the Chicago lockbox should use paperclips when attaching supporting personal documents to forms instead of “ACCO” fasteners; staples are acceptable when attaching fees.

Can someone help guide me as to how to put the packet togather?

I think you mean the I-130 packet. Here's what we did, after reading the guides here on VisaJourney:

• We paper clipped the supporting documents together (in the same order as we outlined in our cover letter)
• We stapled the pages of the I-130 form together
• We stapled the check on top of the I-130 form

Then we used a jumbo paper clip to assemble the whole thing in this order (from top to bottom of the stack):

• G-1145 Form (E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance)
• Cover letter
• I-130 form
• Supporting Documents

Please note that the G--1145 and cover letter are optional.

We taped the fee to a blank paper. We used no other fasteners.

Paperclips paperclips. remember someone is going to dissemble the whole packet anyway and you don't want poor adjudicator person having to take out staples (even though I trust staples better). Just have your evidence in order telling your story. Be sure to have names for all in every picture. I put on back of picture that was printed on 8X11. That was suggested by a lawyer I consulted they have to scan your whole packet so there was no taking pictures out of zip lock pages and such (too much room to get things lost you know).
