How many months before I-130 be approved?

i waited 6 months.

2003 - met online

12-09-2010 - met for the first time

12-11-2010 - engaged

06-07-2011 - married

09-27-2011 - I-130 sent

09-29-2011 - NOA1

04-04-2012 - I-130 approved

05-14-2012 - NVC Case number received

06-26-2012 - Case completed

08-02-2012 - VISA APPROVED :)

That is just for the USCIS phase - then NVC has to finish processing your case. So expect between 8-10 months just to get to the interview. If your husband filed DCF, that is a different story.

You're welcome.

So you have a NOA1 and you're waiting for the NOA2? I assume. After you get the NOA2 from USCIC, you have to call NVC - about a week after the NOA2 start calling to get your case # and IIN # (Invoice Identification Number).

Yes, my husband received the NOA1 last Dec 2011. Maybe by this June 2012, we might receive NOA2?

Actually, we have a lawyer so they could assist me on this.

March 27, 2012: Received RFE (missing passport photo)

MArch 30, 2012: Received RFE Hard copy and sent it right back

April 02, 2012: Received Request for Evidence Response Review

April 10, 2012: Notice that we have approved this I130

May 25, 2012 - DS-3032 Email sent

May 25, 2012 - I-864 invoice email received/SIF payment portal

May 31, 2012 - DS-3032 acceptance received/SIF payment portal

June 01, 2012 - DS-230 invoice email recived

May 29, 2012 - I-864 paid

June 06, 2012 - DS-230 paid

May 29, 2012 - I-864 overnighted in same envelope to NVC

Jun 06, 2012 - DS-230 overnighted in same envelope to NVC

Jun 10, 2012 - I-864 and DS-230 received by NVC

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
