OMG!!! I just got a RFE...How bad is this? Does this make it harder to be approved? I dont know how to feel about it. On the one hand Im glad to have heard something, but clearly this was not ideal. Has this happen to anyone else? I don't want to panic.

RFE is a request for evidence - they want some more papers / more proof / you forgot to sign something etc.

You are freaking out for no reason at all, it doesn't make your case harder to approve or anything. RFE is very common and there are A LOT of posts about RFE on the forums.

Get the letter in the mail and do whatever it asks that is all you need to do.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Took some reading through these forums but now I finally found out what RFE stands for.

Is there any place in these forums where all these abbreviations are written?

My GC stuff was done years ago so I don't remember what so many of these abbreviations mean but it sure makes posts easier to read when I know what they are.

You can find the abbreviations in the wiki section. Click the wiki link at the top of the page.

Go through your petition. Maybe you will see it before you get the hardcopy. If nothing else, it makes for some good reading. Good luck.

I think I might have found an error on the pettition. I was a little confused about question 10 it asked for a cetificate number, well I listed the numbers found at the top of my US birth cert. I now realize the section was only if you were a naturalized citizen. Is it possible they would send it back for that? I also mistyped one word by one letter.. That was all I could find. Unless they want more evidence. I sent an good amount.
