Well we filed our AOS and I sent 2 checks. One for $985.00 and one for $85.00 totaling 1,070.00

one was cashed $985.00 but the $85.00. has yet to clear bank ??

Now I read in the forums I should have sent just one check for $1070.00

did I screw up ?? and will this be a problem ??? :bonk:

we did receive 3 text Messages containing 3 MSC #. but no letters yet

Look like they mess up. Did you petition a child under 14 without an adult?

I wouldn't worry about that since you received case numbers.

I would guess that your second check was put on another pile of checks when they disassembled your package and will be most likely debited tomorrow.

We did get 3 case Numbers,

but sent 2 checks one for I485 and the other for finger prints. thought this was the way they wanted it.

We didn't use checks, we used money orders but we did the same thing. We couldn't have a money order over $1000 so had to send one for $1000 and one for $70. Was totally fine though, both got cashed and had no problems. I think would be the same thing with checks. So long as they have the right amount i'm sure they're happy with it, lol

Finally time for AOS.......

01/31/12 Received email update from USCIS saying that we've been scheduled for an interview

I sent my wife's AOS paperwork April 1, 2013 (overnight) and a couple weeks later received an I-797C. They kept all the paperwork but sent back the fees, one money order for $1000 and one for $70. The letter stated that they sent back the fees and "No additional action by you is required at this time." Figure that one out...
