Length of time for tax transcripts?

I was wondering, does anyone have any idea how long it takes for tax transcripts to arrive? I ordered mine a while ago, figuring that was easiest (I don't have all the W2s, so I would have to track them down). However, if it's going to take much longer I might be better off tracking down the missing W2s after all. We want to get the paperwork sent soon so that he doesn't have to be out of work too long.

I ordered mine via phone and in about 5 days they were in my hand via mail. Those are what I sent in with the RFE we got. Seemed to satisfy them, not to mention they have a set of original tax returns (I have a set here at home too) that have the W-2's attached. Hope this helps. :)

1 to 2 weeks. I ordered them on a Tuesday and received them on the following Saturday. The lady at the IRS was nice and printed them out and dropped them in the mail the next day.

Weird. I mailed my application, hmm, must have been the first week of September or so. Maybe I should call them? Could my application have gotten lost?

I mailed mine and 4 weeks later still no transcripts. I called and was told they could take 45 days. When I called the lady was very nice and she ordered me another set. The 2nd set arrived after two weeks. The first set (which I mailed in) did eventually come but it was 6 weeks after ordering them! My advice call don't mail in. Hope this helps!

Try calling the IRS. It might have gotten lost in the shuffle. From my own personal experience, calling and ordering them over the phone was so much faster.
