Eddie&A, I suppose it depends on the situation/consulate. I didn't print off thousands of pages of call logs. I had only maybe 5 months of phone logs because we did most of our talking through MSN messenger. I didn't have thousands of pages of chat logs either. I had about 10 pages of chat logs where I just cut and paste a few lines of various discussions we had from the beginning until just before the interview. During our interview, the consul only asked to see my passport and asked about my numerous visits to see my husband. He did quickly look through the photos I submitted with my petition, but didn't even ask about the additional evidence I brought with me to the interview. The fact that he seemed to focus on the number of visits I made to see my husband and nothing else leads me to believe that in DR visits are necessary to convince them the relationship is real. I've read of a few couples that were denied and told they didn't visit with each other often enough.

I took all the calling cards I had just in case too. As well as call logs highlighting the numbers called.

It is to late for you now but has anybody used hand written daily call logs?

Kinda like a diary updated every day. Date, time, who called, length, maybe even brief things discussed. Hand written daily logs used to be good enough for the IRS.

So I've got to ask. If they didn't look at all those thousands of pages of call logs, then what DID they look at? Do they just basically look at the photos (a few), then the I-134 and that's it? We have plenty of photos, emails, chats, and phone logs. I know every embassy/consulate is different but I'm curious

IN my case, they didn't look at one piece of evidence or one picture. They only opened my passport to see how many times I had traveled and that's it. But that is not always the case. I think it's better for them to be thorough but my Interviewing Officer was very pregnant and irritated...so she rushed through it...lol

I see that a few of the members were asking about the calling cards and their phone bills and how to prepare them for the interview. For those who are interested, I had purchased a phone from Dominican Movil and had it delivered right to my fiances home the same exact day.. didn't have to wait not even 2 business days. He has an area code from Philadelphia (where I live) and its like I'm calling a local number. We get to talk more everyday even though he can't call me, he can send me a message through his other cell and Ill just call him right away. I only pay $20 monthly, or every 30 days and right next door there is a multiservice (envio) where I just request to put $20 into his phone number and its effective right away..It's a cheap phone, but I've saved alot of money with this service. They also give the person in DR papers saying you sent itindicating the phone #, and you always will get a text thanking you for the payment. which is great evidence for the interview. I'm sure many of you guys are close to being with your loved one, but who knows maybe you may need it while youre there or a family member of your fiance can use it. I paid only $60 the first time but it included the phone, first 30 days, and safe delivery.

I know I used those wonderful $5 cards for 110 minutes of calling about the first 9 months or so. Who knew I would need everything documented and recorded. I just wish I could have all our text messeages. Thats got to be in the millions. LOL This is fun isn't it.

I just bought my DominicanMovil lol, only paid 35 and that covers the first month fee. They should deliver the phone to DR in about 2 to 5 business days. They also gave me the new # right away.

Usually the new calling cards that come out have the most minutes to offer.

Man if you saw my evidence list 28 pieces of evidence totally 219 pages. And it was quality. Just logs not emails. But company documents (we have a company together), power of attorney. Saving the juicy emails for interview. I am sure they won;t even care. I am just worried about not alot of pictures but I am going back in May so I will be taking a boatload.

And really why can't USCIS just state exactly what they want? But than your embassy and my embassy are hard ones. Mine won;t look at calling cards. All call logs have to be on company letterhead documents. Oh well

These callimng cards were specific to Houston. They were "ca;; Houston" "Friend". I just picked up at gas station for $5. I am sure you can pick up at any gas station come convenience stores for your country. It's not that easy to get at all stations here many of the cards are for latin american countries. But there were a few for Africa. I would check it out at the gas station is best. These cards came in $2 and $5. I think the $2 was for 65 minutes. Not bad.
