Same. We have a Sept 11 approval, so 4 weeks this coming Monday. I called NVC yesterday and the guy I talked to was nice enough. But still no record of our app. I gently explained that the letter I had from USCIS stated it had already been forwarded to NVC, and he said, yes, USCIS does that unfortunately, but it means nothing. Probably, he said, it was still sitting in California. He said they recieve apps from Cal in bundles at a time. This is like walking through quicksand. You finally get one foot free only to find the other one's now stuck!

Don't worry we experienced the same. Actually NVC does not udate their site. Numerous calls also were to no avail. NVC received our petition one week after USCIS sent it to them which was August 18. They never recorded the WAC # and even after assigning us a case number they did not post that either. By the time I received the letter from NVC stating that the petition was sent to the embassy, which was September 11, the Packet 3 was being sent to my fiance(e)s house. Even after receiving the letter from NVC they had not entered our case number in their system. So don't expect any updates until you receive the letter from NVC which could take anywhere from three to four weeks as in our case, by that time your petition will most likely be at your embassy.
