How do I help my parents visit?

Hey everyone!

I became a permanent resident (married to USC) not long time ago and I am visiting my home country this summer. My parents and my brother told me they would like to come to visit us for a few weeks in summer 2013. Is there something I could do to help them to get their visas or will they just have to do everything themselves? My parents are divorced but they live together. Does it have to do anything with that?

Thank you for your answers!

If your parents are citizens of Lithuania, then they are qualified for the Visa Waiver Program and do not need a tourist visa.

Read this guides to help you understand what they do need. http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/without/without_1990.html

The best thing you could is to educate them about the rules for attempting to get a tourist visa. The most important is the strongest ties rule. All people with any type of visa are considered intending immigrants. This means they must prove beyond a doubt that they must return to their country.

Each of them will apply as an individual. Each must provide evidence that indicates what will compel them to return. Due to cost it may be a good idea to have one apply to test their ability to be granted a visa.

Your parents age may help if the case is presnted correctly. Your brother has little chance no matter what he does.

my brother is only 13, I don't think it would be a problem with that.
