My NOA2 is dated Feb 24th. Ive been calling almost ever day to the NVC (603 334 0700) to get a case # as so many people have suggested this is how you get your case # as quickly as possible. However every time I call they tell me that they just received it on the 5th, and I should call them back in a few weeks. What am I doing wrong here? Is there some secret passphrase to tell the operator "caw-caw the eagle flies during the full moon" or something? =P

08-27-2011 - I-130 package received by the Chicago Lockbox

08-30-2011 - Received electronic NOA

ya, so , you talked with a hu-man, but

did you give email addresses on the USCitizen Petitioner and the Foreign Beneficiary, via that telephone call?

If not, then NVC really doesn't know what's what.

Call back, give the email addresses, then ask for the AOS Fee Bill to be EMAILED TO THE USCitizen Petitioner.

Once the USCitizen Petitioner has the AOS FEE BILL in the inbox, it's safe to proceed @ NVC, the internal trigger/switch is ON for NVC processing for this casefile.

Good Luck !!

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Not sure if this is important, but for the last couple days they NEARLY ask for this information, then they correct themselves and say "you know, we've actually only received it, call back in a couple days blah blah." It's best not to give the information until they ask for it - right?

Ok, good to know its not just me. Stupid delays at every corner, ugh.

I think it's all part of the process of weeding out those couples that aren't truly wanting to start a family life together. Could be wrong, but you never know. We're choosing to use this as a test, ourselves :) If we can make it through this, we can make it through most things!

Still nothing. Today they confirmed a bunch of information like date of birth, phone number, email, and then said I should be hearing back "in a couple of weeks". #######, they have been telling me that for a month now. How are people getting the case #s "in a matter of days" I dont get it.
