Atheists likely to outnumber Christians in England in 20 years

LONDON — Christianity is waning in England and could be outnumbered by nonbelievers within 20 years, according to a new study.

The study conducted by the British Parliament showed there were 41 million Christians in Britain, down nearly 8 percent since 2004. Meanwhile, the number of nonbelievers stood at 13.4 million, up 49 percent over the same period.

Researchers at the House of Commons Library concluded that Christianity had declined to 69 percent of the population while those with no religion increased to 22 percent.

“If these populations continue to shrink and grow by the same number of people each year,” the study said, “the number of people with no religion will overtake the number of Christians in Great Britain in 20 years.”

The research was based on the government Office for National Statistics’ annual labor force survey, considered authoritative because it examines a sample size of 50,000 people.

The “Religion in Great Britain” survey also found that from 2004-2010, the number of Muslims in Britain grew by 37 percent, to 2.6 million.

England’s Hindu population rose by 43 percent, to 790,000, and Buddhists by 74 percent, to 340,000. The numbers of Jews and Sikhs were reported down slightly, at 270,000 and 340,000, respectively.

Actually what we have would be more akin to a cancer taking over a body, when it finally reaches majority status, it is -The sole owner of a corps.

I have posted before and if anyone wants I can do so again, about how fertility rates and religion go hand in hand. You can look at the maps and see, the cultures

and countries which are withering due to so few children being born are identical to the countries in which Atheism is more popular. (The UK being the epi-center).

These low birth rates are not all due to Atheism, in my view the point is, in environments or cultures where Atheism seem to find a home, these places are ironically not even interested in carrying out the most basic function of any species.... to reproduce.

So I second the motion and suggest you head over there now because in Twenty years .... it will more than likely be dominated by Islam. Vacuums are always filled.

Everywhere you find Communism you find Atheism at it core and often scores of dead corps as well.

The pic you posted is kinda interesting because it so rare.

In fact it was the huge parts of the Christian Church which brought forth the idea that Blacks and others had value as humans.

Last time I checked the sole reason it took so long to end slavery was because pro-slavery verses are found in the bible..

Hehe....where the hell did you read that? Maybe you are reading textbooks from the 19th century, because that interpretation certainly isn't part of the current historiography. In fact, you have it bass-ackwards (a habit of yours?). The second great awakening and general church activism in the early 1800s are often cited as a factor in the spread of abolitionist sentiment.

Actually, I think you just pulled that out of your azz- another (yawn) small-minded and bigoted rant against something you don't understand.
