My friend told me that I can stay in Japan for just 72 hours without a visa but if I stay longer than that then I have to get a visa. Dang it!we already pay the hotel.

I believe your friend has never been to Japan.

Hello VJ

We are going back home this coming march 20 in the Philippines

and we have one day lay over in Japan my hubby want to go

out and see the beauty of Japan. Can I go out with him? I

am not a US citzen yet but I am a green card holder.

What are the documents that I need to bring for me to be able to

go out with out any hindrance in going back to the airport after our lay over? :help:

You need a tourist visa to go outside the airport. I am sure you won't have a problem getting a visa since you are a green card holder. Go get one and you won't regret it, it's the perfect season to visit Japan :)

I don;t think it will be difficult to get a visa, but there will be some paperwork and a fee. Check out the Japanese embassy's website, I am sure the requirements are listed.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Hello VJ.

I am going back to my country (Philippines) next week

and I have a 23 hours lay over in Japan I was gonna get a

Japan visa to get out the airport but everything was too late

since they procees my visa and it takes 4 days to process it.

My question is can I just stay in the airport while waiting for my next flight?

does the airport close overnight?

I dont want our vacation to be ruin. :help: me PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

You can try to get the "shore visa" when you are passing through the passport process in Japan later. I have tried a few times last time!

It's kinda similar but the first one was going out and stay in the hotel outside the airport while the new post is staying in the airport while waiting for my next flight the next.

As I said before, you definitely can ask for a "shore pass" to enter the Japan for temporary at the passport section. Since you are a LPR and you will have better chances to get the pass.
