  1. No need for an ignore button, in my opinion. Either a person is violating the TOS, and should therefore be reported penalised, if that's deemed necessary by admins, or else they have a right to offer their views.
  2. Maturity involves learning how to phrase something, even if that concept is diametrically opposed to someone else's, without being insulting or rude. If they can't manage to do that, then that's where the TOS comes into play.
  3. As far as the vast majority of cases where members speculate a post to be the work of a troll, without all the facts, to consider someone that might pop on here with a rather unusual or shocking story or concern is a troll, is not only wrong but a little arrogant. How are any of us to know?
  4. Frankly, were I to post a couple of facts, no doubt they could fall into that category...

I can remember a (somewhat humourous) article in an Indian paper which stated "we have many of the athletic training tools--only they're disguised as busses (as many Indian city busses have nonfunctional suspensions), train-handholds, etc."

So, along the same lines, there are two versions of the button you asked for...the "send PM" and "send email" buttons.

I didn't know there was an ignore button.....but I like the suggestion of the ###### slap button......I'd use that repeatedly if VJ had one of those

Hey- I never knew swear words were edited either- I tried to write ###### and the little tic tac toe box came up in place of the letters.............. nice one.

The irony though is that you can REGISTER a user-id of swearwords. Someone registered with (the unedited version of) Bro. Dean's favourite term, chopf#ck in january.

Also, it's perfectly fine to type in the profanity manually with one or more letters altered.

I've never used the ignore button, but I would in a circumstance like Gupt said (Ewok gone or something and someone is spamming constantly...or harassing me endlessy- which has never happened).

I would just put them on ignore, not threaten, but maybe would say they are on ignore now so I can't read what they are saying.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

Is this poll in response to some recent rediculousness on VJ and if so can someone direct me in the right direction?

I don't ignore anyone and I think it's lame when someone posts showing they are ignoring you.... so not impressive.

Sorry.....had to do it.

ROFL!!!!

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

Lol, that wasn't it

but I do have to laugh when people come out with it.

I was apparantly put on iggy and told (actually told I was going 'back' on when OP had basically just gotten here, lol), but then I was responded to a few times by the ignorer, and as it progressed, apparantly went BACK on ignore because I was told again.

Oh, and Karo got thrown under the bus and put on iggy with me
