What should i take to the ssn office

Just your passport and EAD would do.

3/21/2012 (Day 0) - I-130, I-485 and I-765 sent.

3/23/2012 (Day 1) - Delivered to USCIS.

3/27/2012 (Day 5) - E-Notification that paperwork received.

3/28/2012 (Day 6) - One check for $1,490 cashed & cleared for I-130 and I-485.

4/02/2012 (Day 11) - NOA hard copies received (x3), case status available online & bio appt. also received, dated 04/12 @ 8:00 AM.

4/10/2012 (Day 19) - Case status online says changed to RFE received.

4/12/2012 (Day 21) - Successful biometric done.

5/11/2012 (Day 50) - Complete RFE (I-864) received. Case status online changed to RFE received.

5/16/2012 (Day 55) - Online case status says: Card/ Document Production.

5/21/2012 (Day 60) - Online case status says: Card picked up by USPS.

5/24/2012 (Day 63) - EAD card in hand.

6/12/2012 (Day 82) - Testing and Interview.

7/12/2012 (Day 112) - Interview date!

7/12/2012 (Day 112) - Approved.

To make SSN card? I brought EAD and my passport and I-20 when I got my EAD by OPT.

Your case might be different...

I have no news for my EAD yetcrying.gif

It's been 84 days and it is crazy.

I just went and all they asked for was the EAD and pasaport! We were in and out in 5

Minutes! She said it takes 2 weeks! Is that true?

Good good! In my case, it did not take 2 weeks. It was faster than that. You should get it soonyes.gif

About my EAD, I really do not understand why it takes so long time.

Question! When they ask for certified IRS printouts, can it be the ones u can get from the website and just print it? or i have to go to the irs office to have them certified ( it is a requirement for the interview).

Order one in their website, it'll arrive within 7-10 days. Thats what I did. Btw, its free.

Well,

I have good news :dance::dance:

Green card received yesterday 05/30/2012

And

I have bad news :angry::angry:

The dates on the green card are messed up big time

Resident since: 05/17/2011 (instead of 2012)

Expiration: 05/17/2013 (instead of 2014)

Whats more frustrating, is we got the green card within 2 months of filing and we will have to wait 6 months for a replacement...

What? :wacko: Im sorry to hear about that. It sucks, I know. Are you gonna get some stuffs done like DL etc? Do you have to send your greencard back? Man, if thats the case, I would have all my stuffs done like DL etc before sending it back because 6 months waiting for a replacement seems very very very long.

If you do not want to wait, I believe you can pick it up in person from the IRS office itself, some people have done that. Depends on your local IRS office,wouldn't hurt to go in person and ask.

Congrats on EAD!

I had a SS card as a student, but it was conditional, only with DHS approval. Now, it will be unconditional, since I got EAD.

Hi. I have a question. Our interview is 2 weeks from today. The marriage cert that we submitted when we file had a wrong name for my spouse's father's first name. We filed a correction and luckily got the certified corrected one recently. Should I mail the corrected marriage cert or just wait till my interview and hand it over to the IO?
