A couple of other things I have trouble finding.

In Canada Caesar salad dressing is all over, here I can hardly find it and there is no selection.

Cheese whiz. My kids love it with macaroni or on toast. I found a tiny little jar of it here called cheese whiz dip.

Flour. I know it has been discussed before but what is up with the flour? My cookies were like bread.

Dill weed and other spices. Thankfully I can find Montreal Steak spice though. It is tough to cook when I have not heard of some of the spices or brands and can't find my old favorites.

From the kids..... Mr. Freeze, Pizza Pops, Ketchup-Dill Pickle-Salt and Vinegar chips.

And I want wine gums today.

I need to break down and order some stuff online.

They don't have the brand Gravol, but they have the medicine, it's called Dramamine there

Dramamine is different, doesn't work the same.

cristy - Watkins has Dill I dunno if its the same as you're used to in Canada, I never used dill really. I miss my dill cream cheese tho, I make my own now with plain cream cheese and the Watkins garlic and dill dip mix. Its yummy

The active ingredient in both Gravol and Dramamine is Dimenhydrinate, they are both sold for use against nausea, dizziness, and vomiting. Gravol and Dramamine are just different brand names of the same drug (Dimenhydrinate). I often buy the Walgreens formula because it also has the same active ingredient and is cheaper.

I did find it at Walmart, one brand carried it...tiny little container almost $500. I make honey dill dip for chicken fingers.

I miss the more relaxed way of life, Tim Hortons coffee, and just plain living in canada!! Can't really complain though, life is good here as well, actually get to play more hockey!!

No it really was $500! LOL Ok ok I forgot the decimal, $5.00. And it is for dill weed not dill cream cheese.

Earlier, I would probably miss NeoCitran (TheraFlu, as has been said, tastes gross; Wal-mart generic cheaper and tastes better than TheraFlu--but it's not NeoCitran). I suspect Pras could make something similar (minus the paracetamol--anyway, I can take a tablet to remedy THAT ingredient) from lemon juice, sugar and boiling water (she probably would PREFER making fresh medicine).

wow i saw quite a few things i forgot about my list is getting bigger, think i'll have to toss some furniture to make room for the food.

as i'm sitting here i remembered one more item good ukranian perogies. since flour is an issue they may turn out as hockey pucks.

my hubby found perogies in a store but i bet they aren't the same. cranbrooks 99 miles away. so i can buy some things there.

you'll find that a lot of the products that seem to have the same name and packaging are quite different here in the US than home. They use different ingredients here, and it all tastes different. Everything from ketchup to Mac & Cheese. Its all different

I make my own with honey, lemon, echinacea and hot water. Even when I was living in Canada. Neo-Citran never worked for me.

Cheese Nips are definitely not the same in the U.S. as they are in Canada. Didn't know about the Cheeze Whiz and the flour, though. Looks like my list is getting longer, too.
