My niece and nephew live in england and we want to bring them here to live with us. Their mother died and my in-laws have guardianship of them. They are worried because they are both in their 70's and if something happens to them the kids will be stuck in engalnd. My husband is a permanant resident and I am a born and raised U.S. citizen. What can we do to bring them here.

First, and most logical question, where is the children's father?

Second, who is the legal guardian of the children?

You cannot petition them as nieces and nephews. You could bring them on F1 student visas, but that would be temporary. If the father is dead also, you may be able to adopt them.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
