I-130 Packet - Passport Photos Location.

it seems that everybody and there brother/sister says to place each passport photo in a plastic bag and to attach each photo to a seperate blank page with a staple going through the bag only or to use a paperclip. (and to write your name on the back of each photo)

Do you really think the best location for these photos is behind each 325a form?

I was thinking that BOTH passport photos would be best atached to a single blank page behind the cover page?

so the I-130 packet would go like this:

cover page

one blank page with passport photos attached

1145 with the payment attached

I-130 pages

325a pages

petitioners passport - complete copy for proof of being a USA citizen.

Marraige Certificate with a translation

Photos of us together - wedding photos plus photos of us spending time togeter.

The Passport Pages of all the stamps and visas.(from both of us with the dates of travel printed at the top of each page)

etc... (more evidence of bona fide marriage)

thanks!

I attached the photo to each G-325 form but I placed it in front of the form. I dont think its a big deal where you put the photos, as long as you send them you should be good, im pretty sure those guys can figure out who owns it, thats why they make you write your name at the back.

I like the idea of putting them first because it will be more neat to have them in the front with the payment attached to the same page.

So it would go:

Cover Page

Blank Page with Payment and Photos attached(One Blank Page with both the payment attached with a paperclip and the passport picture size photos placed in seperate zip lock bags attached with paperclips to the blank page)

1145 Form

I-130 Form

325a Form

325a Form

what do you guys think? most logical order, don't you think?

thanks for your help.

I put the photos in a clear ziplock bag and paperclipped it to the form. From my understanding from reading the forums, staples aren't to popular and paperclips are the way to go.

Print the full name on the back of the passport photo.

Passport photos are submitted in support of the I-130, not as part of the G325a. Put them in the stack wherever you want. I suggest the stack be built in the order the documents are listed in your cover letter.

I really don't think it matters as long as the photos are in the package and easy to locate, and you write the name on the back.

Print the full name on the back. No cursive writing.

hey just want to know something. Does your passport photo have a black outline border? i will upload an example in my profile so you know what i am talking about. I just got our photos today and it has a black border outline and i was wondering if they will reject it? shall i follow and cut off the black outline? it is going to become a little less than 2inch though :-/ problem?

has anyone ever submitted a passport photo with a black outline border?

Im at the stage where we are assembling the petition package as well. It does sound more logical and neat if you place them after the cover letter. I will be doing the same now.

I would play it safe and redo the print of the photos.... tell them you do NOT want a black border. Use a photo editing program if you can get a hold of the digital file. good luck! I would not cut it down if it's more than 1/16 of an inch.

Thanks. I had the studio recut them to remove the borders but they just didn't look right. some black lines were still showing, so i cut it myself. well it is very ugly. so I'm gonna do just what you suggested. :-)

Thanks!
