Can I request for expedite service on I-130 Form?

I have my parents living with me and dependent on me. Can I file an expedite process request on the base that my parents are dependent on me and they are not healthy enough to take care themselves. So I need my wife to complete her I-130 processing quickly to provide a help. If I decided to file an expedite process request, then which documents do I need to show to prove my case? Is there a standard form and fee to initiate this process?

FYI, I can prove that my parents are dependent on me from my past tax returns.

Thanks!

You can try, there is nothing that is stopping you from requesting to be put on fast track - from my experience it would be denied.

You were aware of the time frame and the situation you are in before you got married and taking care of your parents nothing has changed.

Taking care of the old parents specially in US is not a valid reason there are tons of options available.

You can certainly try, they may wonder if you are looking to bring in a wife or a home carer.

Thanks! Did you actually filed similar case? If so, were your parents also US Citizen? Situation may changed within a day or two to old aged people. I got married in December and now thinking to expedite the process after waiting for more than 2 months, so I would say that your point is valid in some way and not in other way :)

Definitely your point is valid, but having two people taking care of parents is better than having one person only. :)

Going back to my 2nd question, what is the processing steps and fees associated with it?

There's certainly no harm in trying to get your case expedited based

on extreme financial hardship

Try calling USCIS @ 1-800-870-3676 with your request. They should give

you the next steps needed (ie: faxing whatever supporting documents, etc).

The worst they can say is No but you will never know unless you try!

Good Luck!

Going back to my 2nd question, what is the processing steps and fees associated with it?

There is no fee to expedite. You can start by calling USCIS and asking to file for an expedite, then they'll contact you for concrete evidence of your situation. It sounds kind of obvious, but you'll need documents that prove your justification for an expedite. In other words, you make your argument (my parents need care and no one else can do it) and then you provide documents to prove that.

It never hurts to try, but I think that Harsh_77 is right: your situation might not be time sensitive enough to get an expedite, and you would probably be expected to get professional care instead of having your petition expedited.

You need to look on the USCIS website about what constitutes a valid reason for an expedite.
