Obviously you have the visa and the envelope, so why are you back at St. Luke's? You can get shots once you are stateside also.

Shots should have been done on the second day of the medical before they send the medical files to the embassy. Now that the files are inside the brown envelope its sort of an SOL moment. If the brown envelope is opened it has to be taken back to the embassy for them to review it and reseal.

Um, yeah... If you have the Visa already then you are done with St Lukes.

Why is she trying to go back? Tell her to just get on the plane and come to the US.

Vaccinations are given on the second day of her medical. If she passed the medical, she should have received her vaccinations. Why is she back in St Luke's?

All she need to do is attend her CFO seminar, get a sticker and then fly to the US.

 back at St. Luke's?

During medical, she should receive her first set of vaccinations, that is included in her medical fee.

The next action is fly to the US, get married and apply for AOS.

The required next set of shots could be done in the US. It is covered by insurance. If you have your insurance, its either you dont pay anything or just pay a small portion depending on your insurnce policy.

If you are doing it at St Luke's, you have to pay again for the second set of vaccination.

Forget about the shots. Come to the US and get them done at the local health center for $5

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png
