Can I apply for citizenship with an expired 2 year PR card I applied for removal of conditions in July and have no response yet. can I apply for citizenship.

01/12/2012 - Check Cashed

01/17/2012 - NOA Received Priority Date 01/09/2012

01/23/2012 - Biometric Letter Mailed

01/26/2012 - Biometric Letter Received Appointment Date 02/02/2012

01/27/2012 - Early Biometrics Completed

02/06/2012 - Placed in line for Interview Scheduling

02/07/2012 - Interview Letter sent out

02/11/2012 - Interview Letter Received

03/19/2012 - Interview Scheduled and APPROVED!

04/18/2012 - I'm a US CITIZEN!!

That's not true, exactly.

Yes, you can apply for citizenship when your window opens, and that will force them to adjudicate your ROC first. You might need an unexpired card to get N400 approved (hence them being forced to adjudicate), but not to apply.

You'll probably get approved for ROC before this July though.

07/19/11 - Oath ceremony in Fairfax, VA

12/2/09 - NOA's for self and daughter

01/12/10 - Biometrics completed

03/15/10 - 10 Green Card Received - self and daughter
