Hi,

I applied I 130 for my husband on Aug 23rd 2011..

I called the USCIS Customer help number since it has been over 5 months. The operate said that my husband will receive interview letter in two weeks.

Can someone tell me Is it True?

Thank you

Each is a case to case basis. Your timeline is still OK, 5 months. I have heard that some married couples had to wait longer than that. You are not alone in this bandwagon. You are still fine, just wait for their instructions and keep reading here, they would give you pieces of good advice!

Cheer up!

Ok so you said you applied for I-130 right? if so USCIS does not give interview date for that. What happens is that they will review your case and approve or deny your petition. if it is approved, your case will be forwarded to NVC for further processing( could take 3 weeks to couple of months depending on how you package your documents) . It is after NVC completes your case that you get an interview based on embassy availability.

For now USCIS is taking six months or more to review people's petitions.

GOD has been WONDERFUL!!!

an interview? IN 2 WEEKS? Really?

OK - you need to tell us if you are filing for a Immigrant Visa or an Adjustment of Status casetype.

I think, regardless, you got an idiot on the phone. There are many, at the USCIS hotline.

So, as to 'is it true' - I say NO.
