Hi,

I have applied for EAD I-765 (Pre OPT). I trying to expedite it but is it possible to start work on the receipt we received by USCIS that our application is received by them.

No. The receipt means that USCIS received the petition. It does not mean you are authorized to work. You can legally start to work only when you have the EAD in hand.

The fact you applied for a EAD doesn't grant you the right to not wait for an answer. Your request needs to be processed still.

If you were start working before you received your EAD, you would be working illegally.

US citizen since April 2016

ROC completed April 2014

AOS from K1 completed February 2012
