Hi,

I need some advice based on your experiences. We had our GC interview last week and had the nicest IO. The interview did not last for more than 20 mts and we had our attorney present with us. We also submitted some updated docs during the interview and the IO was pleased (photos, bank accounts, insurancre etc). The IO asked if I was working and I said I just joined back after I got my EAD. We weren't asked too many questions ....just each others DOB, address we stayed in, few of the I485 yes/no questions. All the details in the I130 and I485 were verified. At the end the IO said they had everything that was needed and said we should get something in mail withing 3 weeks. At this point our attorney stepped in and asked if there was an approval could we got get our passports stamped because my wife and I need to travel back to our home country and be back before March. We were told the IO had interviews the whole day that day, had naturalization ceremonies the whole of the next day and would def get to our case before the end of Jan. Does this mean our case needs further review or is it normal to get a decision via mail? Ive heard some people say they got their stamping right away. The IO returned my I94 and EAD (returning EAD makes sense coz I told her I just joined back and that I am working now). Does the IO just need time to review the docs we submitted during the interview. I am going to be so nervous till we get a decision. Your inputs are great appreciated!
