Job Offer But Still Waiting on EAD

I've just been offered a job but my EAD is still (according to timeline data) about 2 months off.

I don't really have any knowledge of the particulars of US tax law, so I was just wondering if there was any sort of legal workaround involving me starting work now and deferring my payment until after my EAD comes through?

I imagine this would be tricky in a situation where it was uncertain if a work permit would eventually be granted, but in this case - adjustment of status from a K1 - would the fact that it's a foregone conclusion allow me to work now and be paid later?

And never work for free and get paid later. Do not trust so willingly. If they fire you later you have no proof of this agreement.

No, you cannot defer your payment until after you get your EAD, that is just like working without authorization and I am sure your company won't even permit that as you do have to fill out an I-9 and bring with you your EAD BEFORE you start work. If you do not have that, they probably won't allow you to work

No. But if you have a written job offer in hand you can make an Infopass appointment or call USCIS and ask them to expedite your EAD. It is not guaranteed but sometimes they will do it if you have proof of a job offer.
