Contact Senator or not?

I called USCIS today as I passed the processing time and since I had placed a service request last week. The officer I spoke with today told me that my case is still waiting for evidence on an expedite that was requested in October. Now the evidence was sent back then and it was denied. I have the letter that they sent me back then. The officer I spoke with just said that he has no idea then why they are still waiting on evidence for that expedite. I also mentioned to him that in November I received documentation that had nothing to do with my case. He told me to email CSC and ask to see what is going on. I broke down in tears with the officer, I don't know what to do...should I contact senator?

I would contact the Senator and let them know whats going on... after its there job.. and you shouldn't have to wait longer.. I already have my senator invovled in my husband case and they been writing me and keeping me updated.. it wont hurt

Well it can't hurt to try! Some people get helped and some don't. But I do belive it's worth a shot!Our attorney just got in touch with our congress man, in her experience it has helped in previous cases she has delt with, so fingers crossed it will work for us too.

I say call back again.

You probably had an ISO , but

ask for an ISO again, after you reach the first human.

Tell the ISO about the RFE on the expedite,

the fact that the casefile pending status reflects that the evidence was not logged into the casefile properly,

and ask the ISO to request (not a service request) that the Adjudicator review all again.

9 times out of 10, an ISO, when asked the proper question, can move things along with a casefile, WITHOUT a service request.

Hope they find a solution to this. I wish they were more organized than this. Sorry this is happening to you.

Why did you call by the way? After what the CO told you about you might be receiving your NOA2 in about two weeks you kept calling????

I called because the officer that put the service request on the 19th told me to call a week later to follow up...thank god i called if not i would of never known this mess. Went straight after work to my Senators office which is actually a block away from my job. I dropped off a copy of the whole packet including expedite request documentation that was sent back in October together with a 2 page letter explaining the whole mess in the front of the packet. Secretary at the office told me that was perfect so that way they had everything in hand and didnt have to go back and forth asking for more docs...praying this will get cleared now!

It's not so much that she's calling and getting an ISO,

it's (IMO) that she's not asking the right things.

The verbiage I wrote will turn over a stone.
