That's what I did too, since my fiance' couldn't get hold of them cos of his work time. They replied fairly quick, 7-8 days.

-5 days to my POE in Anchorage, Im getting a lil bit nervous since not many people go thro Alaska as POE!!! but I'm excited and super happy!

that a long flight....direct from UK to Alaska

Im actually leaving from Italy, since Im here saying goodbyes to family and friends. :)

Not too long this time (well if flights all leave on time!) as Im flying to Frankfurt and then Anchorage! Should be 14hrs altogether.

I tried to call NVC today and they are not accepting calls...lol.

So I went to their website and found their email address. It says that email is their preferred method of communication. So I sent them an email.. :)

The best thing to do is try to ring them early in the morning which would be their 8.30 am I think. That's when I was ringing them and always get through :)

Emailing them, sure great idea, they just replied pretty slow when my case was already in the embassy just to tell me they no longer should be contacted as they sent my case to Dublin...

Congrats to those already in the USA and to those who got their visas approved.

My POE is November 1st, glad that POE is here in Dublin, so once I pass the customs I am already in the USA even though I still have to fly the ocean :) It is much handier as I can just hand them the envelope here and don't have to worry of losing it somewhere or worrying about being interviewed etc... It will be awesome to just relax on the plane , watch some movies and count down hours to run into my baby's arms :)

They have received our file on Sept 28th, and I have my Montreal case Nbr!!! :D:dance:

The lady was real nice and told me to call back at the end of the week to see if it has left for Montreal.

That's great, Sabi! We just booked our flight through Dublin too, on orbitz.com. It ended up being much cheaper than going any other route. My fiance's POE will be on 10/24 and he will get here close to midnight. I can't wait!
