For some reason I always read those posts thinking guy, but really have no clue. You're probably right.

Edit: Looked up in a search--

My interview was 22nd Feb and it went well and I was approved. 17 days later I still had no passport so I called to see if it had been lost...I was told that I was in AP.
My husband
has contacted his senator and his congressman numerous times. Still waiting

Treehugger is female.

so they can put any case in " AP" without informing or giving AP handout at the interview?

They have done that. I don't know if it's because the interviewer said approved but later a supervisor ordered the extra checks or what happened. I've seen devastated people who had to cancel flights and even miss their big wedding. That's why we always say don't make plans and buy tickets until the visa is in your hand. Weird things happen.

Sensible people would realize they have 6 months to use the visa and 3 more months in which to marry. A big wedding could be planned in that 9 months if that is their heart's desire. But it seems most people want to fly out the next day. It's kinda the price you pay for having a foreign fiance...uncertainty in wedding plans.

Hi

I was shocked when I was put in to AP this week. The I-129F had been approved, which apparently has background checks completed on both petitioner and beneficiary, then I was told I am in AP and got a refused letter.

I was told that I'd hear back within 2-3 weeks and that my paperwork is fine and the don't need anything else from me. I'm trying to stay optimistic that it will only be 2-3 weeks but from looking on forums, it appears it's taking longer for others.

Needless to say, I feel your pain right now.
