Comments : appointment at 7:20 am. arrived at 7am. was not called back until 8:20 am. the officer was very formal at interview begin, telling us we would be recorded, swearing oaths, asking chris if he was a terrorist =/ did drugs=/ was he a criminal. good grief!!! taking our basic info. names, address, DOB, childrens names, ages, dates of prior divorce. (we each had one prior marriage) asked us both why did we divorce from our first marriage, asked to see divorce decree for each of us, minor childrens living/support arrangements.how often we spoke to our children, if they were happy with our choice to marry, asked if chris was employed, where, how we met, how often we saw each other in the beginning and how much contact. finally asked if we had anything we wanted to show her of give her. we said no tho we had a carry on size bag of stuff. i asked what she meant by show because we had so much stuff. finally she relaxed a little and gave us a big red APPROVED stamp on our paperwork. at that point i nearly cried. i had been so nervous. she asked what we knew about future immigration details and we explained that we were learning as we went along. she spoke in detail about what would be required of us going forward and that it was VERY important for us to continue to save and accumulate joint assets/paperwork with both our names for the 2 year filing (751? maybe)she was very professional, helpful and kind.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
