Hi Everyone, hope that I have posted this question in the correct location?

I am a Canadian Citizen, met my now Husband 6 years ago here in Canada. We have now been married for 2 years. His work visa expired nearly 2 1/2 years ago when he moved back to the US. He came to Canada where we married & we have been living apart for 2 years with visits back & forth every 3 months. We weren't sure where we wld reside however being tired of living apart this long,we just want to be together. Since we have been in a relationship for this long & married for 2 years, will I be able to move to the us & immigrate to the US any quicker? Or do we need to follow the same process as everyone else? Just due to the fact we have been together this long & married for 2 years shld confirm we married for the right reasons? I heard if we were married for 2 years that we shld be able to go a quicker route? Any help or advice wld be much appreciated.

you'll still have to apply for a visa to live there with him. Same process, but I believe you may be issued a 10 yr GC instead of a 2yr if you've been married for two years or more. Not positive about this so someone feel free to correct me. Pretty sure the process itself is not any faster, sorry! Why not Canada? their process is MUCH easier.

Correct, if a couple has been married for 2 or more years, the foreign spouse will receive an IR-1 visa and be issued a green card that is valid for 10 years after entering the US.
