Someone is using my identity!!Help!

I found out that someone is using my name and pictures on a dating website!! Ive been gettin emails from other members saying that they exanged notes with me on the website and that I gave them my hotmail address! This person is using my identity and gives my name, where I live and at the end she gives my real email address!! I am not the only person who gets scammed cause the members HAD TO PAY to get in touch with this person!

I wrote to the customer service of this website and they said they cant do nothing cause my email address doesnt match with that username!!I even sent them a copy of my driving license and a picture of me holding the driving license (of course i covered my personal data) but they just ignored me!!

They are damaging my image,I am a married person I dont wanna be on a dating website saying i am divorced!! I was wondering can I go to the police???Where can I find some help???

Yeah I had some pictures on myspace and they could have get where I live from there. But most of the pictures they used NEVER been on myspace!! All I want is for them TO DELETE that profile!!!

I am seeing why this is happening and yes it is a crime: harassment. You are in an interracial marriage and someone doesn't take too well to that and so put your personal info up on an interracial dating site to cause you unneeded grief. It almost has to be someone you are in contact with at least as an acquaintance. That the site itself is uncooperative could lead to charges filed against them if you can prove that the profile was created as a hate crime against you. I would contact the police over this and contact a criminal lawyer to discuss your options.

I agree with ieldanth, it is harrassment. I also noticed you're in an interracial marriage and ended up on an interracial dating website. Coincidence? Not sure if the police would treat it as a hate crime, definitely harrassment.

Could be a practical joke or maybe a bitter ex.

I would suggest it is someone who you know and trying to cause conflict between you and your husband.

I hope you get it taken down soon.

Why is it automatically assumed it's a hate crime??? Just because the OP is in an interracial relatinship and this is on an interracial site does NOT prove anything.

If it ended up on ihateinterracialrelationships.com*...you may be onto something. Otherwise, there's not enough to go on to safely assume as such.

One picture is pretty recent...I really dont know nobody who would do something like that! I was thinking that maybe Tangowire steal pictures of women on myspace that are in a interracial relationships just to make other members pay the fee in order to get in touch with them...Im so pissed I can prove its me in these pictures I still even got that top I am wearing in the pic!!
