Ok, so today, 3 months and 9 days after the day I sent my N-400, now I am a US citizen :) It was a kind of small ceremony, it took about 2 hours. There were 56 new citizens from 22 counties, and I was really surprised to find that only one person from Russian-speaking countries was me B-)

By the way, there was no video with the President's message.

And you know, it is very unusual feeling not to have the greencard in my wallet

Ree are u in NYC?

Oh oki. I'm still waiting it will be four months for me next week and two months alrady since I did the fingerprints.. Congrats! To u :)

I guess some offices have longer waiting times because there are more immigrants, and NYC is one of them. Sorry to hear that you've been waiting for such long time.

my wife passed the interview with flying colors!

The process was fast and painless. It took less than 10 minutes from when they called her for the interview to the time we left the building!

When back with the officer, she had to swear to state the truth. She was asked if she supported the US constitution. She was then asked 7 questions, which she answered correctly. Those were (not in any particular order:

What is freedom of religion?

How many U.S. Senators are there?

What are two rights of everyone living in the United States?

When was the Constitution written?

What ocean is on the West coast of the United States?

What ocean is on the East coast of the United States?

Name one state that borders Canada.

For her reading test she had to read "What do we pay to the government?" Then she had to write the answer "We pay taxes".

Unfortunately, the officer could not tell us when the oath ceremony would be and that the letter would come in the mail. He said it could be May or in June. (That is unfortunate for us becasue my wife wanted to travel back to Ukraine in May and we cannot make any plans for it--or even know if we can go.)

But, YAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY

My husband had his interview 04/18 at 7.30. Everything went really well, the IO put the APPROVED stamp on the file!

My husband asked about the oath ceremony and was told there should be one in about 4 weeks. Let's hope not too much later!

Deathstrike, I think we will see you there!

Good luck for your interview and congrats to everybody who successfully passed their interview and already had their oath ceremony!

So yes...I'm a US Citizen! Took 3 months and 12 days so it was a pretty quick process. The oath ceremony was kinda cheesy for me especially when they played "Proud to be an American" at the end. I thought the pre-recorded message from Obama was a nice touch even though I don't like him. I happened to be in the 3rd row from where they started handing out Naturalization Certificates so I got out of there pretty quickly. The judge came around 12:30 and I was out by 1PM so my ceremony was pretty short.

I am the first in my immediate family to get naturalized so it was a little weird for me to be honest. I don't feel any different but I'm glad that I'll be able to vote in this upcoming election.

Anyways, thanks to all you guys for your support and help throughout my journey. Now I need to help the rest of my family go down this process if they want to =)

Oh one question...do you have to sign the naturalization certificate? There is a section for my signature on the N-550.

Whooooo hooooo!!! Congrats Pandawars!!  "Chuka haeyo~~!!"

i applied for my passport today..it was weird to say bye to my naturalization certificate so fast but I guess I'm not going to need it much after i get my US passport.

in terms of advice? not much...after you've passed your interview, don't get arrested and don't do anything stupid to get yourself arrested. =)
