Hi all, I am currently preparing the I-129F and I am reading conflicting information about which processing center I need to send it to. Some places say it depends on where I live (Nevada, in which case it would be the California Service Center) and other places have the blanket statement "send it to to the Texas Service Center if you live in the U.S.". Obviously I don't want to get this wrong, so can anybody here tell me with absolute certainty which processing center a Nevada resident needs to send the I-129F? Thanks so much for your help.

Send it to the Texas lockbox, it will be forwarded from there to either the Vermont or California center.

Being you are in Nevada it will most likely be forwarded to California.

There is no conflicting information - read the instructions

The instructions clearly state that all petitions are sent to the Texas lockbox facility.

If you are reading older information, it is true we used to send our I-129F petitions directly to Vermont or California. The USCIS established the Texas Lockbox to be more efficient. Contractors open the mail, assemble your file folder, deposit your check, and generate a receipt then assign it to a service center. The place to file any USCIS form is always near the last page of the instructions for that form and the USCIS website (forms page). Always trust USCIS over conflicting reports you read elsewhere.

Wonderful. Thank you so much for the information, it makes a lot more sense now.

Would be advisable to send via FEDEX or UPS and use the actual street address. FEDEX/UP will provide a tracking number to insure delivery was made. Some people have had problems with USPS and delivery confirmation.

I sent by regular post from the UK to the Texas Lockbox with no special

handling other than a receipt for Delivery Confirmation.

No problems at all.

FedEx/UPS .. just an unnecessary waste of money

So because it worked in your one case then it should be exactly the same for the other 100,000 people that submit using the same method?

There are more than a few on this forum (self included) that have had problems with USPS and delivery confirmation.

Close to 90% of online retailers and other businesses will not deal with the USPS for delivery of merchandise and critical documents, gee I wonder why? They apparently dont feel that FEDEX and UPS are a waste of money.

Most likely I will use FedEx as I have had problems in the past with USPS. Also, lately they have been suffering from severe budget cutbacks, so that doesn't give me peace of mind when dealing with a parcel as important as this.

Wise choice! Why take the chance with something so vital...

Did I mention that I earn a 10 cent commission on every person I convert to FEDEX?
