JANUARY AOS FILERS

I didn't expect any interview notice in the near future until I saw this:

http://www.trackitt.com/usa-immigration-trackers/i130-i485/page/2

There are 28 cases reported for the month of January.

2 have already been approved, 16 more have been scheduled for interview. That's total of 18 cases out of 28 that

has either been approved or got IL. That's 64%. Only 36% waiting for IL (and if you look further, out of those 10 remaining pending some haven't updated the trackline since 7th of March so some of them may already got IL).

Of course this data has very little statistical reliability and can't be used to make accurate conclusion about

individual office processing times, but could Baltimore. MD be so much behind? Or could it be that all the people who post timelines on trackit share some hidden variable that explains fast processing of their cases?

I called USCIS , was told to wait at least 60 days after receipt of RFE before making further inquiries, so for now will have to just wait and contact them only second week of May

if IL not received by then.

If more Baltimore, MD filers shared their timeline we would have a better picture of current processing times at our local office.

It really depends the information provided, while we want to trust that it is true is something not accurate. Example. I filed for citizenship in baltimore already did it passport in hand voters registration card, but USCIS status update site says test and interview. Even then I filed in August 2011 and according to the processing time frame the Baltimore office is reporting that they are working on june or july 2011 cases. So at the end it all depends and which immigration officer desk your case lands on and how efficient they are working. Sorry to say the next step in our lives depends on if this person feels like being productive or not.

has anyone else had their interview as well?

I haven't heard anything on my wife's AOS status... She had her application transferred to CSC in mid-February, and based on my research and assumptions we may get lucky and not have an interview and just receive the card. I was checking out the list of everyone's timeline's and noticed that people who have their application transferred to CSC seem to not have an interview and just receive their card in the mail. She's already had her EAD and AP card for over a month now. I hope we get lucky and not need to worry about an interview.

Ukraine babes rule!

Make sure you update your timeline!

UPDATED: Our status was updated to card production earlier but now it says

"On April 19, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

How long can we expect to receive the card?

Today I was approved. We had our interview at 8:30am in Newark, NJ.

We waited 30 mins outside the building in the security line and arrived at the 14th level at 8am and checked in. We were called in at 9am.

The interviewing officer was a very polite women in her early 30's. Our interview lasted for 10 mins and we weren't required to submit any documentation, which was disappointing because we had prepared so much. All the officer requested was the originals of the marriage certificate, our birth certificates, passports, drivers licenses and my social security card. She didn't ask to see my EAD card nor keep it after the interview.

My wife (USC) was asked to verify her name, maiden name, address and parents names. I was asked the same questions as my wife plus the yes/no questions, my last address outside the US, the POE where I last entered, what other visas I have and she queried my intentions when I last entered because I adjusted from a B-2. She then gave me a letter saying no further documentation is required and said I should get my green card in 1-2 weeks. This afternoon I got the approval and card production email.

I was amazed that we were never asked about our relationship, our wedding, how we met or for any documentation. This was also the first occurence I have heard of intention coming up in the interview!

No more dealing with USCIS until January 2014 :)

There's something kinda strange happening to our case.

On April 19, the day we had the interview, the status bounced between "Decision" and "Card/Document Production" but remained as "Decision" thereafter.

On April 21, the status changed to "Card/Document Production."

Now, April 23, the new status read "Decision, On April 23, 2012, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing...."

Anyone else currently experiencing this???

I think when they do update the online statuses they simply have to following the order in which it appears...so they jumped the gun and put your update to card production, but went back and made the correction. That just my assumption anyway.

Congratulation...

Thanks donical and Ben & Kalie, B-)

I check the thing again today and it says USPS has picked up the card. I'm so relieved right now, at least for next 2 years.
