We used the same photographer that did our wedding.

If you're anywhere near York, it's K & L Photography and they charged us 50 pounds.

£50 for a photo??? :o

or the entire wedding!!!

I found a snappy snap near my town and it cost £15 and I thought that was expensive

oh & 50cm x 50cm is the photo size for the US....

*shrug* We've already had them done and they were the only ones I could find who assured me they could meet US visa guidelines.

Ok - so i had my photo taken at Mildenhall base - people in the military go there for passport photos, spouses go there for visa photos and I assumed that as it's the us govenment that have these people on the base (an american company) that they would do it right. Everything looked good - got my 2 passport pictures taken for $5.75 and now I've checked the photo spec and it says about having to have 1/2 inch between the top of the photo and the top of my head - but there is just over 1/4 inch space! Does this mean they wont accept this photo? My fiance got his passport picture taken there and his was accepted and when i was there i asked if anyone had been turned away with the photos they take and they said no. What u guys think?

It'll be up to whoever interviews you. At the US Embassy in London they measured my husband's photos with a machine that lined up his face with a template on a screen. If yours are too far out I imagine they'd reject them.

So my fiance went to a place listed on that Pdf.

Catch The Moment in Bristol

They said oh we waited a long time to get on the embassy's list so we know how to do pics.

J had to tell them FOUR time to redo them, they are not right. He measured every time & told them it was wrong(different reasons every time). They didn't even measure!! J said, these have to be right, and the space above my head is 1/4". The woman says isn't that right? He said NO, it's 1/2".

He has to go back today lunchtime (the interview is tmrow). He said they NEED to be right. She said they will be. I'm complaining to the embassy though, what a waste of time for him.

I also got my passport photos taken at Snappy Snaps.

I'm going to get my passport photo taken very soon (want to do it tommorrow) and was going to do it in a photo booth (I used that for my passport). I've been told that they wont accept a photobooth passport shot - where did you get your passport photo taken? Thanks

Just wondering what was the reesponse from congress?

Photo Booth outside London Bridge Station.

2 quid?

I had real problems finding a Photo Booth in the US, in the end used one of those places in the mall, highway robbery.

The requirements are not that tricky and you get a chance to approve in a photo booth.

I did mine myself at home. If you have a ddigital camera and a white background then you can pretty much crop the photo to the right specs in Adobe photoshop, easy, and I had no problems.

I just popped into my local photographic/camera store where they took passport photos and told them that I wanted US passport size photos...she knew exactly what I was talking about and it cost me 5 pounds for 4 of them. She said that any passport photo store can do any size photos, as long as they are digital ones, which most are now.
