Before NOA2 - Touches

Many are waiting for the NOA2. I registered my email and phone number for text from the USCIS. I got a text, email and letter when my NOA1 was generated. I am at 5 months now. Is it a waste of time for me to look in my mailbox for the NOA2 letter when I am registered for other updates that should come before ?

What kind of activity have you gotten before or when you got your NOA2 ? Did you get a "Touch" before the NOA2 ? Is it possible that one day I might find a NOA2 letter in my mailbox without any other form of notifications ? Nearing the end of this process, the anticipation creates anxiety. :reading::ranting::girlwerewolf2xn:

Some people get touches some not. For example my case never got any touches between NOA1 and NOA2. While the email and text notifications are great I heard they are not always working. I did got both of them and then few days later got NOA2 by mail. But you might get your hard copy of NOA2 and get no email at all it is quite possible.

Good luck on your journey.

I never got a touch or anything

I got an email and a text a week before the letter came to my mailbox.

I know some people who did not get an email.

I know some people who said they never got the postal mail.

I hope you get both soon.

Good Luck

Hello, what do you mean "touch"? As for the texts/emails, I was under the impression that we would only be notified once they first receive our package, and only if we filled out that extra optional form? Are we supposed to be notified thru text/email at every step of the way or something?

After submitting the I-129F packet, what should we be doing/gathering in the menatime?

OO.. You may want to sign up for electronic notification. this way you get a text message every time something happens on your case. my cell phone goes with me EVERYWHERE, even with the house as we're just waiting on the response to our RFE, (which hopefully will be an NOA2.. and hopefully today....)

Hmm, can you link me where to do that please? Didn't realize there's a text notification for every step of the way.... convenient.

After submitting the I-129F packet, what should we be doing/gathering in the menatime?

The only thing you can do right now is fill these forms out:

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1forms AND READ THIS FORUM FOR 2 MONTHS ! After your 3rd-4th month start gathering your evidence. It took me a week just to decide how to print and organize all my various sources of evidence so it is no small task. Since I am almost 4 months ahead of you, I can tell you that I am now printing all my various sources of evidence and keeping up with them on a weekly basis. I have a checklist of items for my fiancee to present at the interview. You should make a list of questions that could be asked of her at the interview and have her meorize them including your ex wifes name for example.

Learn about RFE's (you could get one), make sure you have any court records certified that you need. Organize your original documents that you sent copies of from the I-129F and prepare to get them to your fiancee. Scan a copy of your orignal package sent to USCIS and you will need to get that to your fiancee. I could not transfer all these documents to her very easily because the files are so large and her bandwidth is limited on download speed. Like I said, just keep reading this forum and that is all you need to do for the first 2 months in my opinion.

Get busy and do I like I am if you can. Go back to visit her again if possible to break up the time!

Get to know each other. Spend time talking. Look at the embassy interviews posted. check out the medical at St. Lukes as well as check out the CFO. Right now is the best time to start planning the rest of the journey. Once you get approved, things move very, very fast.

Help your fiancee to get a check up for Tb at the local clinic while waiting. Also, help her to get shots to meet US certifications. Hep b, HPV, and Hep A are not typical Philippine immunizations. Your fiancee can get a Tb immunization for about 800 php.

Thanks for the USCIS homepage, but what I needed was the specific site to get text/email notification of every step of the way. As mentioned, I already filled out the additional sheet and attached that to front of packet but thought that was for them to notify me upon receipt of the packet, and nothing else....

NoneYa, what sources of evidence are you referring to? I have already made 2 complete copies of my entire packet that I sent -- (1 for her and 1 for me?) and that included there is our documentary supporting evidence such as hotel receipts, bus tickets, airline tickets, etc....

And what do you people mean when you say "touched"? Do you mean a notification from USCIS?

sources of evidence = samples of communication between your fiancee and you between the date of filing and the date of her interview. My new evidence will include Skype chat printouts, yahoo emails, phone records, Western Union money transfers (only if they ask), and in my case ... additional trip details and new photos ( I am very lucky to get to go again in 18 days ! and spending my time with her at this resort - > http://www.360cities.net/image/bohol-amorita-resort-philippines#28.75,1.02,70.0 )

That's Amorita Resort Bohol.
