Hi all!

I'm a new member here and was wondering about the dates. My fiance signed both G-325A & Fiance Letter of Intent when I was there in January of this year but left the date blank because we weren't ready to file it yet. Now I am ready to file, so what date should I put? The present date or does it not matter? Just want to make sure everything is perfect!

  • 04/24/2013 - I-129F Sent
  • 04/29/2013 - NOA1 Touched
  • 05/02/2013 - Left to visit my baby for the 3rd time!

  • 07/29/2013 - NOA2 (approval text) received (only 87 days since NOA1 Notice Date)

Signing it from a year ago is a bad idea. I think the signature should be within a month or 2

May 24, 2011 NOA1

Sept 11, 2011 NOA2-took 19 days to get case number

Sept 30, 2011 NVC number and IIN received Friday-gotta wait till Monday

Oct 13, 2011 Case Completed- 13 days from receiving case number Took 32 days from NOA2

Nov 30, 2011 Notified of Interview date

January 19, 2012 Interview- 240 days from NOA1

INTERVIEW RESULTS-APPROVED WITH 14 WEEKS AP--but he got his visa in 56 days!!!!!!

PLEASE EDIT YOUR TIMELINE IN YOUR PROFILE SO OTHERS CAN LEARN HOW LONG EACH STEP TAKES IN THIS PROCESS

Sign and dating = You sign them and put the date on which the document was signed. If you sign them today, then you date them today. If you sign them tomorrow, then date them Dec. 28, 2011, etc.

But guys, cant I get in trouble for false information? I am here in the United States, she lives in Philippines and has never been here so if I put a current date (example today), then what if they ask how she signed it while I am here and she's there? I'm leaving to see her soon but want to submit my I-129f package before I go....

What do you mean? I've never lied on anything, and if i DO tell the truth on the 2 forms by putting the date that she actually signed it, then it's going against what you all recommend so that's why I'm a lil confused...

Backdating on a signature would be considered fraudulent. Therefore, I would say...don't do it.

You can either have her mail you a new form with a recent signature and date.

Or, you can wait until you visit her, have her sign it and give it to you there and then you file when you get back.

My fiance sent me all papers that needed to be signed via mail. It took about a week to get to me.

Again, that is fraudulent. You should not be doing that.

It is against TOS for any members of VJ to agree or advise in doing something that is unlawful.
