So I leave tomorrow to ciudad juarez.my fiances appt is on dec 28th.I'm getting together my most recent proof from the time I filed, until now.all I have is a plane ticket stub,2 pics and a lot of facebook messages..I can't print out my call log tho!is this bad?is it not enough??????

You waited FOUR days before the appointment to do this?????? :bonk:

Okay, damage control:

Get four folders and label "tickets/travel" "photos" "Facebook/Chat" "Email/telephone"

1. Dig through EVERY email you have between the two of you. Check the inbox and SENT mail folders. Check EVERY email account you own. Gather the telephone bills which should also show text messages. Print all out and file in the appropriate folder.

2. Gather EVERY ticket stub, boarding pass, receipts for ANYTHING while you were there. Did the airline send you itineraries to you email? Did you pay with a credit card (get the receipts), File all these in the appropriate folder.

3. Did you use ANY type of chat program (Yahoo, skype, whatsapp, etc..) ?? All of these programs have logs that can be retrieved. Tell me which programs you use and I can help you to retrieve the logs. Once you have them retrieved print out and file in the correct folder.

4. Gather every frickin photo you can find: Iphone, snapshot, anything !! Call her and see if she has any on her phone she can email to you. Send these to Walgreens or whatever to be printed and then file.

Get going, you dont have much time. Be creative with evidence, even something that may seem trivial can help. Again, let me know if you need tech assistance with the logs, just let me know what program(s)

You only need representative samples of each type of evidence, not all the chat logs, and not all the pictures, etc. Choose items that show a continuing relationship and genuine engagement. Pictures together with friends and family, discussing wedding plans, and your life together in America. Redact, or leave behind any of the more personal conversations and pictures.

Bring a copy of everything you submitted to the USCIS, as they will use that as a source of information for the interview.

A little overboard, I would say.

Gee, just trying to help the guy! Sorry if I offended the VJ royalty.

I am NOT saying he needs all that stuff, but just print it and take it with him. He has ONE day to get this done, and he doesnt have time to do research or assemble some surgically correct amount of data. My intention was to have him throw together as much as possible, roughly organize it, and be on his way.

Bring as much proof of your ongoing relationship as you can, and not just from after you filed the petition. This is for proving the relationship overall as a whole and not just from the time you filed. They like to see pics with friends and family, and certainly showing another trip to visit him since filing is good. Also, you will be in Juarez and that will be a plus if they ask him if you are there in the city with him. Print out emails to each other, letters, and anything you can think of that will show proof you talk on the phone or by webcam/voice chats. They may not ask for any of this, but it is best to have it just in case. I know from my husband's interview and reading through the reviews for Juarez that they tend to look at photos. Good luck!

Not royalty. Hopefully the fiancee is a little better organized on the other end. Depending on the consulate, you may not be able to bring armloads of stuff with you, and the pre-screener will pick and choose what gets through.

Some people just get asked questions and are never asked for any additional evidence, and some people do get asked to see other evidence like letters and photos and such. I think it depends on how much you frontloaded to begin with and which CO you get. I wouldn't go without enough evidence because you never know what the CO might ask of you. If they don't ask for anymore evidence beyond the required documents, then you are good to go and didn't hurt you to bring it just in case. If they ask you for evidence and you have none, then you are screwed.

Yes, that was my point. This poor guy has one day to gather all his evidence. I wan't sure if any of the "Mexico" members would be online on Christmas Eve, so I thought it best to have him gather as much as possible before he leaves. He has a few days once he gets there to sort it and organize

Ah, but you didn't !

CJ is way different these days, that proof is important.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Try not to freak out. You used to be able to get the invitation letter at the info window. You have no choice now. Take your confirmation number with you and tell them you asked several times for it to be sent to you but never was. They may print you out one there, and you will need it.

I actually agree with your advice, because IMHO its better to have TOO much evidence than not enough!!!

I am prepared to show that not only do we have a relationship, but that its an ONGOING BONA FIDE relationship!

So I'm with you on all the heaps of proof. I would rather the CO tell my fiance, 'oh well we dont need all of that' and hopefully will hand most of it back to him, than for the CO to have him reschedule for lack of evidence!!
