Working in Capitalistic USA

So .. here we are ... sitting in front of our computers either looking for work, because really there isnt much here, or bored waiting on an EAD. Basicaly, were doing nothing to help our spouse at all. It sucks.

But, for me, coming from a socialistic country, ive had to adapt. Im glad to say that I have. Am I making money ? NOPE.

But I have started my own business. Ive always worked around money/book keeping/accounting/cpa .. do I have alot of experience with this. I took a course deciding to see if I could do peoples taxes this upcoming season ( Yes, I would love to do yours ! ). But I learned a trick, a capitalistic trick and I am using it to my advantage, and I have shared with close friends and family. All are just as excited as me.

Heres a quote I got from this weekend ... This country was built on money and vision ... so if you dont have the money, you better have the vision. Can you hear the angels singing yet ?

I spent about 20 minutes with an old freind who now lives in Utah, I got her so much money with that conversation, that she is going to let me do her taxes now and I really would like to tell my unemployed VJ family how to do this too.

Message me for more information, I cant wait to share !!!

Some people have asked if this is legit, because it seems to easy. I happily tell them, that I am an immigrant, breaking the law gets me deported. And nothing is worth loosing my marriage over . . . so this is legit. I wouldnt put my name on it if it wasnt, and it gets signed off by a CPA, I hope that gives you some comfort.

Please tell me that's some metaphor/ joke. You've been in the US since March, and someone is willing to let you do their taxes?! I was a tax inspector in the UK for thirteen years, yet I wouldn't dream of jumping into US tax codes without a great deal of training.

And I love your description of Canada as a "socialistic country". It may have social healthcare, but it's hardly Cuba.

Cuba is more Communist than Socialist.. Canada has some aspects of Socialism with regards to needed services but there is free enterprise as well. :)

No, Im not joking !

I took the course and found alot of the laws are the same here in the USA as in Canada. But what I learned was a huge loophole. Is that loophole in Canada, maybe, but I never looked into it there, and now that I know it exists here, Ive been sharing with all my friends and family. Which is what VJ is to me. Im not in the business of doing taxes .. Im in the business of helping people get more tax back, which in turn, they think Im amazing and they want me to do their taxes. :)

Then post away for all to see

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

no its not amway, but that really is one of the better ones to sign up with to be able to save this money.

Im not pitching at all, i was only offering to help those who were interested in knowing.

I guess my bad, and this is why 90% of the people in the USA dont use this feature that is available to them. the other 10% are the wealthy business owners.

I have asked BlueBonnet to provide more details and clear up the 'mystery' about this venture. While the original post appeared like it could be soliciting for business, when you get more details you realize that it is not. Thanks, BlueBonnet, for clearing that up.

Thank you Kathryn for re opening the thread and allowing the people here the opportunity to reap the benefits that I learned. I only came to help, I certainly didnt want to come across any other way. I definetly didnt need to be labeled as a scammer. This site has offered me so much help over these last few years, and when my 2 year conditional green card is up .. Im sure Ill have many more questions to come.

Moving here I gave up everything which included a 50K a year job. Now .. Ive had 4 interviews and nothing. I figured if you cant find a job, make a job. Like I said, I havent made a penny of my "venture" yet .. but I know how it feels to sit and do nothing while your spouse works so hard to support you. I really was and still am willing to help you learn how to aleviate that pressure off of your partner.

In my original post, all I stated was that I gave a friend this advise and she was blown away and asked me to do her taxes. Instead of a "yeah you go girl" I got a .. I cant believe she would let you do her taxes. I wasnt soliciting any business with that statement, I was simply saying ... I found some work.

So with that behind us, Ill say this again ... I have found a way for us immigrants who are sitting at our computer, with no income, to help aleviate the finacial pressure off of our spouce, if youre interested, please PM me and I will gladly answer any of your questions.
