Hi All,

My husband filed the I-130 in August and received NOA1 on 08/19/2011. I'm the non-American spouse, from India. We're still waiting for the NOA2. Does anyone have a clue as to how long it takes for approval if your spouse is Indian?

My husband filed the I-130 in August and received NOA1 on 08/19/2011. I'm the non-American spouse, from India. We're still waiting for the NOA2. Does anyone have a clue as to how long it takes for approval if your spouse is Indian?

Igor's List this is the "inhouse" record of people getting their approvals. It tracks very close to the whole thing I imagine. June is just getting their NOA 2's it appears so you are still a bit off from yours. Best of luck!! The path to Igor's list is at the top of the page on "Immigration timelines" then go to igors list in the middle of the page then go to the proper toggles for your case!!

approval time doesnt differ based on background so within 5-7 months

There has been little to no known movement out of CSC since June for any family based visa....

Wait times are currently *at least* five months.. most July filers are already over that line...

Trips:

Jan2010 - First Trip, met in person

Jul2010 - Trip two!

Nov2010 - Trip Three, Got engaged :)

Feb2011 - Trip Four. Spring Festival, Lucky Money all around :D

April2011 - Trip Five... Going to the chapel...

July2011 - Trip Six... Honeymoon in Xiamen :D

October2011 - Trip Seven... Beijing and the Great Wall :)

January2012 - Trip Eight... Chinese New Years and Spring Festival! More Lucky Money! :D

April2012 - Trip Nine... Interview?

28 July 2011 - 20January 2012 - Day 175... USCIS at CSC finally processed our paper work.

30January2012 - NVC 'received' the paperwork

8February2012 - 27February Massive delay caused by sending the EP OPTIN email too soon :(

Tx everyone for ur responses. Based on 'em, I think I can safely conclude that I need to wait at least until the 5-month mark and not to get my hopes up too high before that. Tough break, but then what choice do we have!
