I would like to move my spouse's interview to an earlier date. Maybe sometime in mid December, because I have an early january appointment. I would appreciate if anyone who has done this before me, could step in and give me some hints and appropriate steps.

What I would like to know is this

1. Any hidden phone numbers than the ones on the website. ( there are always some)

2. If I can talk to the Officer in Charge of my case directly, rather than the usual operator

3. What are the chances of this... just an estimation is fine

Thanks in advance....

Expediting because you have an apointment? Not likely. unless you can explain why your husband MUST be there before your apointment, I do not see an approval for you.

Good luck

Expediating is done for valid reasons such as having orders to be deploed for members of the military. The other reasons are financial loss to the USC and humanatarian reasons. Tickets costs more this time of year so it would cost more to have him interview early. Unless you have a valid reason to expediate then you have very little hope of expediating. Did you get expediated at eariler levels ?

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

You asked the question....

3. What are the chances of this... just an estimation is fine

I gave you the answer, now you can't get upset just because you don't like what I said. Now NigeriaorBust makes a good point, did you expedite at earlier levels?

If not call the consulate and ask what steps need to be followed to expedite based on your apointment

Good luck

Hello

My expedite was at eariler levels on humanitarian reasons from USCIS my I-130 was approved in 49 days got my NOA1 and NOA2 than to NVC. National Visa Center (NVC) operator told me supervisor Sue, she is reviewing your file and NVC know my expedite approval for humanitarian reasons from USCIS. NVC supervisor Sue she E-mail US embassy in Addis A, Ethiopia to request expedite interview date was scheduled on August 31st, 2010, I called up the consulate office in Addis Ababa to request if they could move up the interview date. I spoke to the consulate officer and he told me he would call my wife if he found an earlier spot for my wife. After I hung up, I called my wife to tell her that she should expect a phone call from the consulate office. Within 3 hours she told me she got a phone call from the embassy, and that she was asked to come to the Embassy the next day in order to receive her new appointment paper for August 3rd expedite interview.
