To explain my case, I am currently enlisted in the United States military and have recently received a tasking notice that I will be heading to Afghanistan for a short tour in May that will last no shorter than roughly six months. I've been able to expedite my petition upon submitting evidence of this for a K1 fiancee visa through the USCIS. I have since been notified as of 1 Dec 11 by their website that I was approved via text message. Now, from what I understand when it comes to this process, it will now be heading to the NVC for a clearance check? If this is the case, how will I receive my case number that is with the NVC regarding this? Will it be on the actual hard copy notice that the USCIS is sending me? Or, will I be using the same receipt number I used with the USCIS?

The reason I ask is because I am assuming with it being two different departments, they will not automatically honor the expedite I had with USCIS due to my deployment and I will need to ask again. Any and all information on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

For a K1 file, the NVC is only a mail stop. Your file will be assigned a case number and shipped to the Embassy in Manila. You will need to contact the Embassy when they receive your file and request an expedite.

call 603-334-0700( 7:30a.m. -12midnight EST) and select 5 to speak with an operator then present your case to hear what they say. Even though someone said it is "mail stop" you still need them to fast forward their end of the process.

Meanwhile email them NOW cos they reply emails in the order received so by the end of business day friday you will be getting a reply.

put your USCIS receipt number in the subject line of the email and then in the body of the email start with:

petitioner's name and date of birth and beneficiary's name and date of birth then proceed with ur concerns. the operator will also ask for these info from you and make sure you state your concerns after that cos once they ask for these info they ask u to call back in some weeks and almost quickly end the call b4 u say anything else
