I have a question about USCIS Form I-864, in particular part 21 of the form.

It asks to tally up the total number of household members, It asked you to included the total number of persons being sponsored, and then it also asked you to place 1 in the box below, if you are married, however, if the person you are sponsoring is your wife for AOS, placing a 1 in the box will put you at 3 total, instead of the 2.

How would we answer this question?

Thanks.

From Part 5 of the Form

21. Your Household Size - DO NOT COUNT ANYONE TWICE

a. is 1

b. is 1

c. is 0 (already counted)

include d. thru g. if applicable.

Good Luck!

I also have a question about form I-864.

Part 6, Question 24, d and e... I am not sure how to answer these. I have already answered a and c. I believe I don't need to answer b because I earn more than 125% of the Federal Poverty guideline for a household size of 2. I literally have no earthly idea how I need to answer these questions.

By the way, thanks VisaSoldier, for your answer above. That already alleviated my first headache with this form.

If you do not list anyone on b, then d and e do not apply to you. Here is the example form: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-864.pdf

To follow-up on the other answer as to your question as to when you would include someone on b.

For example, if you had a roommate or a member of your family(sibling, parent, child over 18) living with you in the same house (i.e. the same household) you would include them both in the household size (Part 5) and then could include their income in Question 24.

Though I agree with Jay-Kay, in your situation, this does not appear to apply.
