Hi VJers,

I have tried finding an answer to this question through the forums but I haven't seen anything that helps.

How does the NVC communicate with the petitioner? Will I need to call to find out if my case has been received or do they e-mail? Does a K-1 Visa Petition receive a case # at NVC? If so, how do I find out what it is? THANKS SO MUCH!

NVC will send you a mail with the case number within 2-4 weeks after NOA 2 hard-copy !

You can also call them at 603-334-0700‎ and ask them for it !

It can be overwhelming. But if you type in K1 process flowchart in the search space here on VJ there is an awesome informative, and clear explanation.

Happy journey

I am not sure, if the NVC center has all your personal information forwarded to them. But this is what I personally did.

1. I kept calling the NVC everyday after 9pm and ask them if my case was recieved.

2. When they finally got the Case, they asked for my information... email is the best.

3. From there, you will follow the normal drill...

good luck

Yes, NVC e-mails. I received an e-mail with the case number.
