Hi guys!!!

Im mostly asking people here who know exactly what is the attitude towards big age difference between petitioner and beneficiary for UKRAINE CONSULATE OFFICERS? Big is exactly 27 years. Can it cause a problem with approving a K1 visa?

Be waiting on your answers.

THANKS everyone for your time and help.

From what I've seen here on VJ there have been significant age difference petitoners and Ukranian beneficiaries and I don't recall there having been an issue as long as bonafied relationship was proven.

Only time I can see there being a problem was if there was an age difference of 27 years and you were 40...

Age difference is generally not a problem at the Kiev consulate. If you provide evidence of your relationship you should be fine. I have not heard of it being a problem at all, to be honest.

27 years difference is more than "normal" but normally there is no question about that and a 20 year age difference seems pretty common.

For what it is worth, we have a "group" of RUB/American couples we socialize with. Of the 9 couples ONE has an age difference less than our 12 year age difference and two have age differences greater than 25 years, one is 30 years (37/67) All were K-1 or CR-1 couples, in all cases the man was the US citizen and the woman is younger. All are happy marriages as far as I can tell. Only two of the women are not US citizens yet (Alla has just filed for naturalization) so they have been through the whole process with no problem.

None report having any problem with age difference for the Kiev or Moscow consulates

Also FWIW all men report similar experiences being married to RYB women. That is a good thing.

Isn't that the point?

If you are the older USC female, that would be unusual.

 Good Idea. I went and did not regret it. Kiev will allow the US citizen into the interview area and I even went to the window with Alla.

Kiev is an easy Embassy. If you have you paperwork in order and if your fiance knows all about your sordid past!!! Then all will be OK.

I suggest you take this to the RUB regional forum where you will get more info from actual UA Embassy folks.
