I had the good fortune to have done a lot of flying in eastern Europe and they have the unnerving tradition of CLAPPING in applause when the plane lands safely. I will bet this one got a standing ovation!

I had the good fortune to have done a lot of flying in eastern Europe and they have the unnerving tradition of CLAPPING in applause when the plane lands safely. I will bet this one got a standing ovation!

In theory, yes--so long as the fuselage is not ruptured (unfortunately, the examples of Boeings landing in water--AI-855, KAL-007, AI-182, TWA-800, ...--that come to mind, the fuselage DID rupture). Edited by Saddle Bronc
