USPS Confirmed NVC Received I-864 & DS-230

USPS Confirmed Delivery of I-864 & DS-230 this morning at 11:25! I'm so excited to get the ball rolling again! But, now what!? Is there anywhere on the internet to check the status of the packets or do I just wait to hear for approval? Do I need to call in a week or so to check the status?? Praying for a super speedy approval so we can get the interview date asap & hopefully be interviewed & home before Christmas!! I KNOW I'm optimistic, but you gotta be, right!? :yes:

USCIS **40 Days**

8/1/11 - I-130 Mailed (USPS Priority)

8/5/11 - NOA1 via text/email

8/15/11 - Requested Expedite

9/2/11 - Sent in Expedite Evidence

9/14/11 - I-130 Approved (Online Status)

9/17/11 - NOA2 hardcopy received

NVC **45 Days**

10/1/11 - NVC Case # Assigned

10/4/11 - Paid I-864 Bill

10/6/11 - Paid IV Bill

10/31/11 - Sent I-864 & IV Packets (USPS Express)

11/7/11 - Received False RFE Email (Requesting IV Packet)

11/8/11 - Case Completed

11/14/11 - Interview Date Assigned (for 12/28/11)

11/15/11 - Case Forwarded on to Managua

You will have to rely on the NVC Operator only. Give 5 days from the time NVC received the packets and start calling to find out about the status of the packets. After one of the packets is processed and found alright, you will get a false RFE for the second packet (as it was not yet processed by then), so don't be alarmed. Then after a few more days the second packet gets processed. However if the RFE is real one, the Operator will let you know and also you will get an email (2 - 3 days delay) letting you know the details they want.

Hope for the case to be completed and then waiting starts for the interview date to be scheduled. All the best - patience is the virtue.

08/30/13 - Biometrics Done - No walk ins allowed at this LSC (received on 8/16/13).

08/05/13 - NOA1 (received on 08/10/13)

08/01/13 - Mailed I-751 (received on 8/2/13 - check cashed on 8/5/13)

12/28/11 - Received SSN (applied on 12/20/11, as we didn't get based on DS-230 options)
11/28/11 - Received Green Card (Expires on 10/30/13) - Welcome Letter on 11/17/11
10/30/11 - POE - Houston, TX

Chennai Consulate (40 days)
10/28/11 - Received Visa papers and Passport at VFS
10/25/11 - Interview Cleared Successfully (Spouse was not allowed in)

NVC: (90 days from NOA2 to Consulate)
08/31/11 - Case Completed (Interview 10/25/11) - Received at Chennai on 09/19/11
07/22/11 - NVC Case Number

USCIS: (92 days)

6/21/11 - NOA2 (NOA1 on 3/25/11) - took a month to get to NVC
3/21/11 - I-130 sent to USCIS Lockbox, Chicago.

I just called NVC and the automated system said my case was completed on November 8th!!!! :dance: ...Sorry for all the questions, but can you kinda tell me what happens now!? Next they'll send an email with the interview date and I'll receive the packet for everything we have to do for the interview? Is that right?? Thanks so much for your help!!!!

Thanks! Honestly, God has blessed us from the beginning. I was blessed to be able to apply for an expedite & was approved...that makes the biggest difference! I hope you get good news soon!!!

call next Tuesday. They would not call you. if everything is ok they will closed the case. NVC will make an appointment with your embassy.
