Don't listen to them!! It's a big fat lie! They schedule interviews ALL month long! If you want proof, look at my own signature. I was scheduled during the FOURTH week of the month. And if you look at previous NVC threads, you'll see people get interviews scheduled all month long.

Continue to call NVC and DOS every single day until you get your interview date!

I never recieved a case complete email even though when I call the NVC automated message, it says it's complete...should I be worried?? Thanks, Long.

To quotes a movie, “So how does it happen, great love? Nobody knows... but what I can tell you is that it happens in the blink of an eye. One Moment you're enjoying your life, and the next you're wondering how you ever lived without them.” I felt I found something with Kieu that is rare in life... true love.

Nope, no need to worry at all. Mostly, it's only EP people who get the case complete email. But over the last few weeks, I've seen a few non-EP people get the case complete email. NVC definitely hasn't rolled it out to everyone yet.

Hmm. Turns out I was waiting for nothing. I called today and it said our case was completed on December 1st. That is sweet. I'm not hoping for an interview anytime soon (i know it sounds weird but my husband got out of the army 3 weeks ago and is finding it really hard to find a new job....) Does anyone know if they assign you an interview date or do you have to chose one by yourself? I don't know what we will do if he still doesn't have a job at the time of the interview. :help::wacko:

For IR1/CR1 folks NVC in tandem with consulate assigns the dates. K1 applicants book the interview dates themselves.

I don't think his employment status will really matter. As long as the petitioner maintains his/her employment history - this is what consular officer is more concerned about. Or the IO won't even bother asking him about his employment status.

So, I think, you should be fine.

Good luck at interview !

If you haven't gotten it, you won't be getting it. Again, do not worry about this. As long as you got confirmation from an operator that your case is complete, then you're fine. The case complete email isn't needed. It's just a nice email telling you your case is complete, but if you already got confirmation then you're fine.

Grats on the case complete!

NVC will assign you an interview date. If you don't like it, you can always change it online. But be warned, at Montreal, if you change the interview, then it could be a few months before your next interview since there's a backlog.

I guess my concern is getting some sort of letter or email for my wife to get the medical exam needed for the interview...Thanks, Long.

You'll be getting an interview letter in the email (if you gave your email addresses). This is the letter needed for the medical and interview. The case complete email is not used for anything.

friends,

Do we get update from AVR system when packet IV is delivered in NVC?

Nope. There is no AVR update on them getting packages. It's not even logged in the computers until it's been reviewed. Just call NVC every single day and ask if there's an update on your case.

i have a question, my uncle signed as a co-sponsor for my husband, me and my uncle do not reside in the same household. At the interview if the CO asks where my husband will live, is he supposed to give the co-sponsor's information?
