Got my yellow letter today. Recommended I bring my driver's license and all the certified or original copies pertaining to my court situation, which I have. I still only have two certified copies of one of the the three documents pertaining to my case, I have only one certified copy of second item, and only the ORIGINAL of the third. I'd go nuts if they asked me to send any documents via mail NOW before my interview!

Hi All!

My wife's applying based on the 3 year rule married to a US citizen. She was able to skip the biometrics since she has done that last year when removing conditions on her GC.

It seems like we are still in line for interview scheduling as of today, wondering what's taking so long?

District office is San Jose.

11/06/11.....Check cashed

11/10/11.....NOA recived in the mail(priority date nov 02)(notice date nov 04)

(No biometrics since last one was done Oct. 2010)

White letter, with appointment time and date. It also lists things I should bring to the appointment (like 2 copies of a passport photo, although I already sent them)

Is your letter white or yellow? Everyone seems to be receiving a yellow letter. Mine is white.

Summer 2004: Met while on J1 visa; J1 internship was 3 months (subject to 2yr-HRR)

2004-2008: Visited US on B1 / Steve visited Nicaragua as well (living in different countries! while I fulfilled 2yr-HRR)

August 9th, 2007: Sent I-129F Package to CSC -- Fee waived

August 17th, 2007: I-129F Recieved at CSC

August 22nd, 2007: I-129F Notice Date

March 15, 2008: APPROVED!!! Recieved email from CRIS!!!

May 5, 2008: Interview at Consulate -- Approved!

Jan. 5, 2009: AOS Interview!!!!

Jan. 15, 2009: Legal Permanent Resident!!!!

Nov 4, 2011: Sent N400 to Lockbox / Delivery confirmation on Nov 7, 2011.

11/12/11.....N400 send to Nebraska service center

11/14/11.....N400 delivered to NE

11/21/11.....Check cashed

11/23/11......NOA recived in the mail(priority date nov 14)(notice date nov 21)..(you will be notified of the date and place of your interview when you have been scheduled by the local USCIS office.you should expect to be notified withing 90 days of this notice)

12/13/11......got text and email about biometric letter being send out

12/17/11.......got biometric letter in the mail(appointment date dec 28th)

12/19/11.....did early walk in FP

12/22/11.......got email and text about being placed in line for interview scheduling

01/30/12.......got email from my IO were i was asked to pick my own interview date and send email back with the date i picked

02/06/12......got INETRVIEW email with appointment letter(have to print that out and bring with me on the interview day)

02/28/12.......INTERVIEW with oath on the same day(as long i pass the test afcorse.)

Let me tell you, I have my interview letter and feel like I need some distraction from thinking about it. Once you are at the next step, there'll be something to obsess about.

I just got a notification that my interview was already scheduled. I am excited, but on the other hand a little nervous: my 5th anniversary is not until Feb. 13 and my interview may be awfully close to that day, if not before it. I've read so horror stories about interviews being too early and getting rescheduled. I hope everything turns out great.

My priority date is Nov. 2 , but I wonder why my case is still waiting for an interview to be scheduled.... While other San Jose buddies got theirs already~~

Received my interview letter! (updated below!)

I applied under the 5 year rule, as I have been an LPR since 2002 (and never been out the country for long periods of time). I am also married to a USC and originally entered the US on K1 visa (and I am still married to same spouse that I entered on the K1 to marry).

My letter states to bring the letter itself, my green card and passport to the interview.

The letter also states that for applications as a spouse of a USC to bring marriage certificate, etc.

I am just wondering if they are likely to ask for any of this latter evidence? Has anyone in a similar situation had the interview and have some advice to give?

I did order tax transcripts and I know where our marriage certificate, so I will probably just take them along, just to be sure.

I have managed to get this far in the process by researching the information myself (and found the answer to another question I had about the letter), but I can't seem to find anything related to this.
