Hi!!

Last Friday I received a letter from the USCIS stating that they have transferred my case to California for faster processing.

Does this mean it'll go faster?

Does this mean no AOS interview is needed?

Does this mean I get approved faster?

What is the average processing time in Cali?

Don't know what to think of this.. :blush:

September 6th: received SS#
September 26th, 2011: AOS sent
September 30th, 2011: NOA1
October 6th, 2011: NOA1 hard copy
October 26th,2011: Biometrics
October 28th, 2011: case transferred to California for faster processing
December 5th, 2011: received EAD/AP card
February 22nd, 2012: Green card in production
February 27th, 2012: GREEN CARD in hand, yaaay!!!




November 10th, 2013: ROC

Yes it will move a little quicker and usually means no interview as this is what happened to us. From the date it is transferred it will be another 2 months at least to get GC

Divorced !st November 2012.

Married only 2 years 1 month

Can mean no interview. Doesn't make it quicker all the time. We were transferred and had no interview. As far as quicker, it didn't work out that way for me. People in the group I filed with who didn't get transferred were getting approved and a bunch of us who had transferred were not. Took us from June until November.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Pfffff, that long? :blink: I sure hope it'll only take 3 months, but what does HOPE mean in this process.. Being patient is a virtue :huh:

Our petition was also transferred to CSC .. then 2 months later it was transferred back to Lees Summit. From there it was 30 days to interview. However, once interviewed, and approved on the spot, greencard arrived within 7 days.

Does going to the CSC automaticaly mean no interview ... NO.

I would think that your chances of no interview however are around the 80% mark .. but be prepared either way.

Oct. 2008 - He came to Canada to meet me

Dec 25 2009 officially engaged

March 2010 - sent off I-129F

March 27 2010 - Vermont receives package :)

April 3 2010 - Informed through mail that cheque is cashed NOA1

May 28 2010 - RFE notification ( yeah Im online checking alot >.< )

June 5 2010 - RFE hardcopy received

June 18 2010 - RFE returned ( had done it June 7 - but USPS returned grrrr )

--- case says we should hear from them in 60 days from June 18 ---

June 23 - Touched

Aug4 - Email notification of NoA2 :)

Aug. 10 - NOA2 Hardcopy received

Sept. 13 - Faxed off Package 3

Sept 14 - Interview notification set for Oct. 5

Oct. 5 2010 Interview Passed

March 17 2011 POE Canadian/US border

April 1 2011 Marriage

Mailed AOS June 1

Chicago Lockbox confirms delivery June 3

Check cashed through bank - notification June 9
