If you completed and sent the form with the I-129F that allows USCIS to notify you by TEXT and E-MAIL, do they also notify you of the NOA2 by TEXT MESSAGE? After that? Further notifications by text message??

I sent my initial app for I-129F in on July 23, 2011.

I received the best text message on the 27th! saying they had received my application.

I am not real high tech oriented, so...lying in my honey's arms in Bogota, being awaken by such a text message was quite a nice surprise.

So... I'm wondering, if they are also going to text a notification in regards to the NOA2, which quite frankly, I'm expecting any day now... more likely, in about 9-11 days.

I'm asking because from all I've read here in the past month, and from talking to a rep or 2 at the USCIS, even they admitted that the website, www.uscis.gov, notifications are not always, if ever, up-to-date.

Just out of curiosity - what makes you think you'll be getting your NOA-2 in just a few days when you only recieved your NOA-1 on July 27?

As far as a text or email notification upon apprival of the NOA-2, it's a 50-50 shot as to whether or not you'll receive one. The system updates at strange times during the night so you can never tell if you will receive an email or text. It's the same as the website. Many people never see a "touch" on their petition and then suddenly it shows "post decision activity"...

okay.

Sorry, you guys/gals are waiting on the California "We've Gone Surfing for the Day" Service Center.

If you've been reading here the past 3-4 weeks, many people going through Vermont are receiving the NOA2 90-110 days after NOA1.

Hey people, I know... anything can happen, for better or worse.

But, I wake up every morning with Great Expectations for the Life!

I've been through this, with absolutely no problems, once before.

Neither do I expect any this go-round.

Counting my blessings,... for being sent to Vermont SC.

Last time, little over 4 years ago, I was sent to California.

Hell! I don't even remember getting an NOA2.

But, it was about 8 months at the time, from NOA1 to Interview Date.

They work on other types of visa petitions. I-129Fs aren't the only things they have to do all day.

Yes!!! that was our case, we got our NOA1 on july 13th then touched on july 20th n then we got a text saying our case had been updated n it was in post decision activity, now a question, is it any different when the case goes to decision than when it goes to post decision activity???

Once NOA2 approved, you will receive another txt from USCIS. then, few days later,

actual paper copy of the I-797 will arrive to petitioner address.

Good luck

Correct me if I am wrong, I think the text notification only applies to the NOA1 when submitting that form.

If you want to receive text and email for case updates, you have to create an account on the USCIS with your case number and click yes for email and yes for text notifications.

I am not positive though
